Welcome to Year 1
Here, you will find valuable information for the year. At St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, we take great pride in teaching your children and are eager to see them grow and flourish throughout the year.
In Year 1, we have two wonderful classes:
- Class 03 - Mrs Seddon/Mrs Avington
- Class 04 - Miss Reardon
Supporting us across both classes is the lovely Mrs Hill. Although we have separate classes, we are a unified Year 1 family, ensuring that all children receive the same high-quality education and consistent expectations.
This year, there is a significant focus on phonics, particularly as the children will be undertaking the phonics screening check in June. We kindly ask for your support in reading frequently with your child, which can be done online using Bug Club.
They also have access to a healthy snack provided by the school. However, you may wish to provide one a healthy snack for your child to bring that day (no nuts, please). Milk can also be ordered for your child if desired.
